1)
Model tables and charts are designed to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer
(versions 4 and above.) You can download
the latest Internet Explorer for free.
Other browsers will also work but may create various visual artifacts.
2)
Charts and tables are designed for a minimum screen resolution of
1024 x 768. If the charts and tables are too big to see without scrolling,
you can change your screen resolution to make them fit. To change the screen resolution in Windows XP go
to "Start", choose "Control Panel", choose "Display", then choose "Settings".
You will see a slider bar that you can move to increase the resolution.
3)
Many of the tables do not fit within one screen vertically, so you have to
scroll down to see the whole table. You can free up more screen
space by hiding toolbars you don't normally use, or adjusting the size of buttons at the top of Internet Explorer.
On the menu bar, choose "View", then "Toolbars", then
uncheck any toolbars that you don't need. To resize buttons, right click
on the command button bar and uncheck "Use Large Icons".

4) If
you have a CRT monitor (the old TV type, not the newer flat panel type), you
should check to make sure the "refresh frequency"
is set above 72 Hertz (cycles per second).
The default refresh rate is often set at
60 Hz, which is hard on your eyes and annoying once you get
used to a better setting. Flat panel monitors don't flicker the same way
that CRT monitors do, so 60 Hz is not a problem if using a flat panel monitor.
To set the monitor refresh rate in Windows XP go to
"Start", choose "Control Panel", choose "Display", then choose "Settings". Then click on the "Advanced" button on the lower
right side of the box that appears. Then click on the "Monitor"
tab of the next box that appears. Finally, you will see a box
called Monitor settings - Refresh frequency. You can use the
arrow to see faster refresh frequencies that your computer can provide. A frequency of 85 Hz or above eliminates noticeable
flicker on a CRT monitor.
