Weather Data - background

    The data files include a value for temperature and other variables for each hour of the day.  Because the 24 hourly values miss the instantaneous high and low temperature of the day, an algorithm based on the range between minimum and maximum hourly temperatures is used to estimate the daily instantaneous maximum and minimum temperatures for the weather display tables.  The raw hourly values are used for pest model estimates.

    Weather data are converted into model estimates using Microsoft Excel 2003 running automated VBA routines.
